Amy Barton Amy Barton Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Addiction Studies and a Graduate Diploma of Public Health. Her commitment to the alcohol and other drug sector began early in her career through the Mental Health Commission’s Volunteer AOD Counsellor program, establishing a strong foundation in holistic recovery and harm reduction. Amy brings extensive leadership and community development experience across health, mental health, local government, and community sectors. Previously, she led multidisciplinary teams of support and peer workers at Neami National, contributing to organisational suicide postvention frameworks and served as a Health Promotion Officer with the North Metropolitan Health Service, driving healthy local government policies. Most recently, Amy led community development initiatives at the City of Joondalup. Amy is dedicated to leveraging public health strategy, frontline insights, and systemic advocacy to empower consumer voices, challenge stigma, and foster healthier, inclusive communities.
